The song is about today’s shallow social media culture we’re all trapped in, and particularly reflects on the experience of musicians in an age where music has largely lost its value, and where finding a real audience in the constant stream of online content and “look at me” self-promotion can make us feel like we’ve lost the game, and ourselves.
